FS#21717 - Durnehviir disappears prematurely when learning the second word of the Soul Tear shout from him

When you summon Durnehviir after learning the Summon Durnehviir shout from him, he will disappear prematurely when he is teaching you the second word of the Soul Tear shout, when he should finish speaking first before he disappears. You will still learn the second word and be able to learn the third word of the shout as well. The miscellaneous quest to learn the shout and summon Durnehviir in Tamriel will still progress normally and will properly complete when Durnehviir has taught the player all three words of the Soul Tear shout.

Reason for closing:  Can't Fix - Engine Issue

Are you playing on PC? If so, could you provide a game save so we can try to reproduce the issue?

I don't currently have a save game on PC, but I do own the Special Edition on PC. I've encountered this issue without USSEP or USLEEP on Xbox One and on Xbox 360. I've also had it before with USLEEP installed on the PC Legendary Edition. The reason he disappears is because he appears to die before he finishes speaking. This only happens when you summon him for the first time, wait two hours for the shout to cooldown, and then summon him again.

This can only happen if you summon him without sufficient room, but the script didn't catch that in time to stop him from teaching you the word. Just make sure you have plenty of space to summon him. Dragons are big.
